On Wednesday, 2nd May, children from room 8, fifth class presented their project at a seminar in The Tullamore Court Hotel. This project was the result of a number of months work. We called our project “One School, Many Cultures” and studies a number of nationalities in our school, the different cultures, languages, foods and traditions, that they bring with them and enrich our lives.
The seminar was a wonderful feast of colour, song, displays and integration from Presentation Schools from Westmeath, Offaly, Dublin, Galway and Laois, to name just a few. Many displays highlighted the celebrations for the 300 tercentenary of Nano Nagle. A big highlight was the Junk Couture display. It was amazing.
The Challenge to Change was a very positive experience for us all! We really enjoyed it.
