Catherine Cotter participated in the Newpark Music Festival in Dublin in the under 12 competition for string instruments ( violin, viola, cello ) and won first prize out of 24 performers. She also performed in the prize winners concert in Dublin.
In March, she also won first prize in cello under 11 in the Feis Ceoil in Dublin and has recently been invited by Feis Ceoil to perform in the Young Platform series in the National Concert Hall in September.
She has also won the equivalent competition in Sligo over Easter and was second in the Fr. Matthew Feis in Cork in February. In addition she won the under 12 piano in Sligo.
