The committee would like to express very sincere thanks to all those who supported the Christmas raffle. The €3000 lodged to the school account is very much appreciated.
The committee has agreed to purchase Science Fusion (Online Science Programme) for the school. Mr. Tunney, on behalf of the staff and children, expressed deep appreciation for the financial support provided by the Parent/Guardian Association to purchase this programme.
The committee will do a bag packing fundraiser in the third term if management in Dunnes Stores permit it.
Tea/coffee will be served by the committee at the open evening on Thursday 23rd January 2014. Information in relation to the work of the committee will be provided for new parents/guardians.
The association is now fully registered with the National Parents’ Council – Primary (NPC) and the appropriate insurance policy has been purchased.
Catherine Denieffe will take on the role of secretary on the committee.
The committee has organised Fiona McAuslan to provide a talk for parents/guardians on the subject of bullying. The talk will take place in the school on Tuesday 25th February from 7pm to 9pm.
