Sean Cotter, the association’s treasurer, will set up a bank account and report regularly to the committee in relation to income and expenditure. Information in relation to the accounts will be made available to all parents/guardians at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year.

In order to accommodate parents/guardians, Presentation Senior School’s staff members have agreed to stage the Christmas performances on Thursday the 19th December at 7:00pm. The Parent/Guardian association committee will provide refreshments on the night. It was agreed that parents/guardians will not be charged but that there will be a donation box at the door. The committee hope the donation box will raise approximately €500 to purchase Science Fusion which is an excellent online Science Programme that has been requested by the teachers to support teaching and learning in science lessons. Click here for more information in relation to Science Fusion.

The association will support the school with the Christmas raffle by organising suitable prizes. First prize will be an iPad Mini sponsored by Expert Electrical. The draw for the Christmas raffle will take place on Thursday 19th December after the Christmas performances.

In January 2014, the Parent/Guardian Association will meet with the school’s Board of Management to discuss ways in which the association can support the Board and the teachers. In advance of this meeting, M. Tunney will prepare a draft document outlining the teachers’ priorities for the improvement of the school’s teaching resources and facilities.

All relevant documentation has been completed to finalise the process of taking out appropriate insurance cover and registering our association with the National Parents Council – Primary (NPC).

The next meeting of the Parent/Guardian Association committee will take place in the school at 8pm on Monday 9th December.
