Senior School

Located in beautiful Mullingar or “An Muileann gCearr” as it is known in Irish, our school has a long and proud tradition of service to Mullingar town and the surrounding areas. Indeed the Presentation Sisters first came to Mullingar in 1825, almost 200 years ago and founded the present school.

Our School

Presentation Senior School, also known by its Irish name Scoil na Maighdine Muire, is a senior co-educational Catholic school catering for pupils from third to sixth class. The school also has an autism unit catering for children between the ages of four and twelve years. The school was built by the Presentation Order in 1957. The Board of Management and staff remain strongly committed to the Presentation ethos and values inherited from the Sisters who taught in our school

All uniforms must be neat, clean and in good condition. Hair must be neat, clean and well groomed. If hair is long it must be tied back neatly. Make-up and unnatural hair colouring is not allowed. The school Tracksuit and runners may be worn on P.E. activity days only. Children should attach name-tags/labels to all items of clothing and other personal belongings. The school reserves the right to decide what is becoming in dress and appearance for students enrolled. The highest standard of personal appearance is expected at all times.
