Dreamspace Ambassadors

Presentation Senior School are proud to be a part of Microsoft’s Dreamspace ambassador programme.As part of this program, Dream Space Ambassadors become Dream Space Specialists, offering assistance to fellow students and educators in the form of demos, training, leading small groups, or one-on-one sessions. So far they have been teaching our school community how to code and how to stay safe online.They will be graduating in Microsoft headquarters in May this year.

Building Unity Project

EU Enlargement 2004 – Building Unity Project The hall at Presentation Senior School was filled with colour as students presented projects on EU countries and other cultures for a multicultural day as part of the Communicating Europe initiative. Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke visited, as he had worked closely on the project during his time as junior minister, when he had the responsibility for EU Affairs. The event, which was featured in The Westmeath Examiner, engaged all 300 plus students of Presentation Senior School, as well as parents and guardians, through a range of activities designed to inspire an appreciation for EU diversity.

Choir

Presentation Senior School has a senior choir consisting of 5th and 6th class pupils.Under the leadership of Ms Mulroy they have recently performed at Peace Proms 2024 in the RDS.Stay tuned for more performances locally.

G.A.A.

G.A.A football training takes place after school under the guidance of Mr Kelly and Ms Murphy . Our football teams takes part in cumann na mBunscoil each year.

Soccer

Each year we participate in the FAI Schools competition.

Musicals

Thanks to Mullingar Arts Centre two of our classes get the opportunity to take part in a musical each year. This years musical was Oliver and we were so proud of the boys and girls who took part.True stars in the making.

Student Council

In 2023 a Studnet Council was set up to represent student voice in Presentation Senior School. A Student Council is a representative structure through which students in a primary school can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management and staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.

    The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts to create healthy, inclusive environments that support the mental well-being of pupils in primary school.Ms McLoughlin leads our amber flag committe and we are looking forward to our wellbeing week in March to earn our second amber flag.
